Yep, I’m talking about Elon Musk. Between Tesla, SpaceX and his live interview on Tucker Carlson Tonight, he’s had a very busy week.
Maybe you like the guy, maybe you don’t. My wife can’t stand him. But that doesn’t discount him accomplishing some outlandish things in his life.
Elon Musk could possibly be the greatest fundraiser of our era. He raised an ungodly amount of money to get Tesla off the ground.
And not only did it get off the ground, it’s the staple when it comes to the modern EV.
Not only did he create a vehicle, he built a brand and that brand has a following unlike many others out there.
Tesla turned into a solar business followed by a space exploration movement adopted by the federal government.
For a slightly awkward guy, his accomplishments are well beyond many of the wealthiest folks to have ever walked this planet.
Earlier this week there was talk about slashing Tesla prices in order to accommodate the current economic environment.
Tesla isn’t just the Model S anymore. There’s multiple sedans, a high performance model and a SUV now integrated into the brand’s lineup.
In the early days of the original release, you really needed to reach deep into your pockets to afford a Tesla. Today it’s not nearly as costly.
Like all technology, as it evolves it becomes more affordable.
During the last presidential cycle, Elon took a hard stance against censorship — so much so that he offered to purchase Twitter.
While perhaps his first offer may have been more of a test of the waters, it didn’t take long for the deal to consummate with the aid of a court proceeding.
Earlier this week, Elon was on Tucker and he was asked what percentage of Twitter’s staff had been let go.
Elon responded that they’re operating on approximately 20% of the staff at the time of him assuming ownership of the company.
Meaning 80% were gone. Tucker asked, how does the company operate with 80% of the staff gone? Elon responded, when you’re not focused on censorship it turns out you don’t need all that many people.
I thought it was an absolutely brilliant statement and should be eye opening for our entire society when it comes to social media!
Yesterday Elon celebrated the success of a SpaceX Rocket launch. It didn’t last in the air (about 4 minutes) before it imploded, but he and his team seemed very pleased that it made it off the launchpad.
A lot of data was collected during Thursday’s exercise.
I have no aspiration to accomplish all that Elon has, although I have great respect for all the risk he’s taken and the reward he’s reaped.
Much like Elon, on a much smaller scale, I like to have multiple streams of income and if you believe that’s your key to stability like I’ve proven it to be for myself, I invite you to join my journey of helping retail traders succeed!
